Big Happiness (2020)

Vimeo
In 1988 Dahee Kim was adopted from South Korea as a baby, and was raised by a white family in the suburbs of Minnesota. Big Happiness centers around two dinner conversations, one with her adoptive parents in Minnesota, and the other with another Korean adoptee in Seoul. Big Happiness is a personal exploration of adoption, identity, and colorblindness growing up in a transracial family.
